The last round of the season was held on the classic Blackwood GP configuration, with the tight backstraight chicane back to service after being introduced in the 2009-2010 Cup. With Xcite C.Winkler having almost secured the title at round 2, only the final podium positions were at stake.

v\J.Peace proved to be the fastest man of the season - by far - after snatching his 3rd pole out of 3 events.

Some LRF action concluded Tiger Express Events‘ year, as the RACCAR series returned for its second season. Many of the drivers were different, but the format stayed the same: 8 races over 4 events, 3 on road courses, and one on an autocross course, using the 31% restricted Raceabout (RAC)The main change was in the administration of the league, after iCON Racing were in charge of the inaugural season.

Despite neither Fredrik Enersen (currently on an LFS-wide break) nor CoRe Racing deciding to defend their 2009 titles, standards were still high, with an average of 17 cars each round, and several MoE/IGTC drivers taking part.

It is that time of year again. Time to scramble into the MRT and have some fun with the smallest of all cars in LFS. Starting 27 December, the annual tradition in the Open Wheel Racing Leagues starts at South City Town using a special layout. The action continues three days later at AS Club rev and ends at the dawn of 2011 at Blackwood GP Rev. The layouts used are available from our downloads sections. Special thanks go to dekojester for letting us use his SO Town layout.

The OWRL started in 2004 as a MRT only league.

A new league is currently being formed which aims to fill the void of American style racing that exists in the Racing World of LFS. The new "Realistic NASCAR" league which has aims to promote the agressive style of racing that seems non-existent on LFS plans on running a test event on Saturday, January 22 of 2011 with five shootout type races that will be run as though they were an entire season within themselves. Even though the points accumulated that night won't count towards the actual points standings, there is still quite a bit of excitement around it.

The 2010-2011 season of the Masters of Endurance got underway on the first Saturday of December at the Kyoto Grand Prix circuit, inaugurating a new era in Live for Speed endurance racing. For the first time, the 600bhp GT0 class took to the tarmac in anger, setting new track records for GTRs and bringing three-class racing to the series.

The win in GT0 went to the XRR of ineX Racing, who also took pole in their maiden MoE start, effectively sweeping the weekend. Their near-perfect performance coupled with some mistakes from fellow newcomers Team ev0» in the FZR, meant they ended up two laps ahead at the 12-hour mark.

The favorites came out on top without any trouble during the race. Fantastic speed from 'Hillen' and 'bOrn' again. 'ineX Racing' unlucky second.

Prior to the last round many positions were still undecided in the final standings, including both titles and also the third position of both championships. Traditionally the last race was held on the GP course of the Kyoto Ring, however the chicane where the drivers leave the oval has been changed to a narrow turn to add another overtaking possibility, which had been used by drivers multiple times.

Almost a year after a successful opening season, the RACCAR is back. The league consists in racing on road courses aswell as on autocross layouts, in the 31% restricted Finnish Raceabout prototype, also known as the least driven – but also as one of the most challenging – car on LFS. The restriction makes the racing slightly closer, and makes the car easier to drive.

The 2009 and opening season was organised by iCON Racing, and was won by Fredrik Enersen and CoRe Racing Red. After the iCON-NDR merger, the league’s future looked uncertain.

SERT 5th Birthday - Racing Weekend

The eleventh and penultimate round of this years’ OWRL F1 season at the Westhill International circuit was at first a battle against the loss of concentration. Many fast corners can lead too many mistakes by the drivers, led by Adam Wisniewski and Quentin Benoît, who can’t just treat their car with care to score just a few points; the standings are too close for that in the final stages of the season.


The qualifying showed a few other drivers, who wanted to finish the race on the highest possible position. The best time of the day was held by Jarl Teien in the first qualifying, being the only driver with a time under 1:10.00.

Next Wednesday it's that time again.
The last race of Tsai Monthly Challenge 10 starts on the legendary circuit Aston Historic R.

At the long Track, with 15 mostly fast corners and the infamous "EauRouge" Chicane, it will be very difficult.

The 2011 Season of Grand Touring Amateur League is finally here! Round 1 is on October 30th, but qualifying has already been started. The first of two days for qualifying was on Sunday, October 24th. The typical season opener at Blackwood Grand Prix Reversed has been replaced by Kyoto National Reversed. It is a fast, flowing track which requires a compromise between straight line speed and cornering speed. With approximately forty of the 100 seconds of the lap on the flat-out Kyoto Oval, a good run is needed through and out of Turns 10, 11, and 12 to maximize this part of the lap.

REDTOPXTEMES Blackwood Circuit XFG Grand Touring Race League. 5 races from August to December. Race format consist of 3 rounds per race with 10 laps for each race round with a total of 5 races, 15 rounds and 150 laps. There will be 2 practice sessions followed by a 30-minute qualifying session for race driver grid and for the fastest driver lining up for pole position.

Due to a 500 servers problem, round 3 will be postponed. The race will now take place on the 24th October. The rest of the races will take 2 weeks later.

Baltic Cup is a league that is being held every year since the year 2009. This league is only for Baltic drivers. Each community organizes their own qualification and 30 racers (10 from each country according to qualification) gets to participate in the race. There is no registration required.
